One of the biggest things I work on with singers is helping them stop overthinking while singing.
Sometimes the more a singer tries to control everything, the more disconnected they become from the emotion, the voice, and the moment itself.
That is why I created what I call:
The Mirror Exercise
During this exercise, the singer must maintain eye contact with me while singing and react instantly to every movement, expression, and energy shift I make.
No planning. No overthinking. Just presence, instinct, and connection.
This exercise has created some incredibly emotional and freeing moments during sessions, especially for singers who struggle with tension, fear, or self-judgment.
It is not about perfection.It is about learning how to let go.
And sometimes… that is where the real voice finally appear <3
